i dislike the predictable, where's the humour in that?

My sleeping patterns are really out of sync. I installed L4D again and played a campaign with a friend. My eyes hurt, maybe 5am wasn't exactly the best time to immerse ourselves within a virtual zombie apocalypse. I'm submitting my work late again, I hate that. The morning is so quiet, pure and genuine. I used to loathe being awake at this time, but lately I've grown so accustomed to this way of life. When I finish my late assignment, I'm going to hibernate until the next day. A psychology graduate once told me that I have an identity problem, I thought nothing of it and merely scoffed at his poor choice of words. Ten piercings later, maybe I do have an identity crisis. Despite what he said, I'm still going to get my eleventh one after my exams. This is me writing on 30 minutes of sleep (give or take a few) in the course of two days. I think I'll take a nap and resume highlighting those dreaded journal articles. Perhaps I'll make a bonfire out of the pile...

strange characters

I slept 16 hours last night, I woke up feeling just as lifeless as I was the day before. My medicine tastes like crap. Why doesn't this medicine have that film around it like Panadol? I can't even speak properly now, I'm losing my voice and coughing as often as I breathe. I wonder if I can finish two assignments this weekend, there that HR essay and micro to do... Honestly, I don't care about Friend A any more. I would rather not continue thinking about  insignificant people. There are some people you want to keep in your life, and there are some you would rather do without. Friend A would fit in the latter category. So say what you will, I'm sure those crude comments will be the demise of yourself. Yesterday I spoke to Linda during biochem pract, I really don't know how she had so much patience to withstand her micro lab partner. I finally got a glimpse of what a bizarre character he was on Tuesday. He came and asked if he had the right loading dye, but ins...

clapping with one hand

So I missed class today. I think that hypotension business kicked back in yesterday. Lunch yesterday consisted of one gyoza and 2 Advils. Tasty? I slept a good 12 hours. It was such a good sleep. Note to self; get studying this week. Its always hard to take the very first step, but I'm going to try get my motivation back soon. I've come to realise I can't study without pretzels. Must've been a habit I picked up whilst studying with Olly and Jess last semester. I went to my lecture yesterday with a bag of pretzels. I just sat there munching for most of the 2 hour lecture. Ooh my sister came across a silly joke. As corny as it sounded, I quite liked it. A neutron walked into a bar & ordered a drink. He asked the bartender, "how much?" The bartender replied, "for you sir, no charge."

8am deliberation

So it seems that sleeping pills are a great way for me to get my sleeping patterns back on track. I found myself quite drowsy last night at 11pm. That is something quite uncommon and hasn't happened in a while. I managed to wake up at 8am, but the drowsy effect kept me in bed for a further 30 minutes. This 30 minutes was spent deliberating to myself whether I should get out of my warm bed or not. Well I must be off to a good start, I've been sleeping in well into the hours of the afternoon lately. It did feel nice to wake up "early", or earlier than usual. Today felt like a normal day, it wasn't a grey day. The sky was painted with bold hues of azure, it must've been a good sign. I enjoyed a leisurely run to the station, that was nothing out of the ordinary for me. And as always, I made it to the station within 10 minutes. A light run and much brisk walking did the trick! Today I met up with Casey and Tom. It was quite pleasant seeing the both of them again,...

façade /fƏ'sa:d/ n. 1 . Architecture . a. the front of a building, esp. an imposing or decorative one. b. any side of a building facing a public way or space and finished accordingly. 2 . a superficial appearance or illusion of something. 12:07am I originally intended to write about something else, but ended up erasing the entire post. I guess there are just some things I'd rather not delve into. I should sleep, but there are many thoughts running through my head right now. I'm not even sleepy, not even in the slightest. Perhaps this calls for the "humble" sleeping pill. Mind you, I haven't had one in quite some time. It might just help me adjust back to sleeping at normal times like everyone else. Don't you just love social conformity? Its just not a social norm to be nocturnal. I say the night is still young, I'm off to occupy myself with something til I get sleepy. Perhaps I'll finish that knitting that scarf I started some few months ag...

a few more minutes

S o it seems i'm fine, the doctor said I should get more rest. Yes, I took his advice. Quite literally too, I've been waking up well in the afternoon lately. Its the same routine everyday. Alarm rings. I switch it off. Climb back into bed. I tell myself 5 more minutes, but those minutes quickly turn into hours. I really should study, but i'm just lacking the motivation to right now. I just want to distract myself with anything and everything. I tell myself to stop cramming, but those those words just fall upon deaf ears. I really don't where to summon up my motivation. Maybe my motivation is to finish uni and just move away. I've always thought it would be exciting to move away to a nice place like London. I don't think i'd mind the weather there. I'm sure summers there aren't scorching hot like Australia. The notion of a scorching hot Christmas just doesn't quite seem right. Ooh, Stefanie sent me some really neat pictures from a safari she vi...

I can't seem to sleep... Its now 1:57am. I really should get some sleep, the last two nights put together doesn't even add up to 8h of sleep in total. Sometimes I really miss high school, I miss the light homework load, I miss not having to think about what to wear to class, but most of all... I miss the proper sleep. Fatigue just washes in and out ever since I started university. In fact, its made me quite ill for sometime. Sometimes I don't even have the time to eat or drink at uni because my timetable is so packed. I remember rushing to physics class once. I felt so light headed and had difficulty breathing. The doctor said I have hypotension. I've been taking medicine to increase my blood pressure, but I've run out of medicine and have no time to get a check up. Lately, I've been feeling light headed... Two days ago, I couldn't breathe properly. I think its time I go see the doctor. Maybe, just maybe I'll go after my assessment finished next week...
