Exams have finally come to an end and I'm enjoying a few quiet moments to myself tonight. The semester break isn't going to be particularly special, I just get the time to fulfil a few hobbies I would otherwise not have had time for during the semester. So now I can say hello to finishing some craft projects, cooking and indulging in some video games. With the weight of exams off my shoulders, I really feel as though I can appreciate the finer things in life. I never take notice of my surroundings when I'm on my way to the train station, I usually power walk or run to the station. Today I admired the clear blue sky, walked at a slow pace, noticed how the scattered leaves seemed to resemble golden and bronze medallions. Looking forward to seeing more of this tomorrow. I was talking to a friend of mine from university, she's having a baby boy in a few days. I'm truly happy for her and her husband, soon they'll welcome Ali into their family. I went sh...

If dreams were a reflection of our inner most desires, I would choose reality over fairy dreams. At least in reality, we have the power and capability to bring such desires to light. I've had my head up in the clouds for long enough, some things are best left in the past. When we dwell too long upon the ghosts of yesterday, we fail to see the bigger picture. In the last week or so, I've come to realize that I have indeed let go of bygones. I suppose 2011 is already off to a good start. Yesterday I received a phone call from a friend from university, she told me she's getting engaged. I was really excited, I could not contain myself. I'm really happy that she has found true virtue, I'm really looking forward to the engagement party this weekend. I'm not sure what this year will bring, but one thing is definite. Hello summer school, I'll have to learn to wake up early again. This sounds like a mission in itself already. I've been waking up at really o...

Since my break from blogging, I've been trying to break addictive habits. Namely my too-frequent caffeine intake, wasting my time on video games and nocturnal ways. I no longer sleep when the sun arises, I'm not addicted to video games now, and I've been without coffee for 2 months or so. All I need now is to start jogging... I was somewhat motivated the other day. I was dressed in my running clothes and was about to put on my sneakers until it started to rain... Failed attempt. Sadly, I broke my caffeine ban a few days ago. I wish I could break the habit of talking to you, things aren't exactly sunshine and rainbows all the time. Maybe all I need is a bit of perseverance and a far greater pessimistic outlook. I feel guilty about leaving for Canberra next year since Sylvie is coming back in April. But it seems as though being at home is going to suffocate me. On a lighter note, Amy tells me Chuyen is due in a month. Pretty exciting news, soon Chuyen will have anot...

Everything tastes so bland, bland like cardboard. The only thing I can taste is the bitter aftertaste of medicine. I'm still as lethargic as ever, perhaps even worse today. My shoulders are aching. It probably wasn't a good idea nodding off at the computer or having 10 minute nap on the couch. So that essay was somewhat completed, I thought I would never complete this task. I still have to do my micro quiz tonight, patch up my biochem lab book and get working on the micro assignment. I wonder if I have time to sleep at all tonight. I was anticipating seeing J tomorrow but I'm not even sure if I can make it now. Don't get me wrong, I do want to catch up with her. Its just that I don't want to get her sick as well. I am a person that gets distracted very easily, I'm afraid I'll get too distracted and not finish everything in time. I must get my micro quiz done by tonight then, I better study and learn those pathways. Hopefully I'll look a little more a...
