topsy turvy



I finally got to visit Chuyen on Saturday. Her daughter, Raelyn, is a mere 10 days old. She looks so fragile and so adorable! Amy drove me to Chuyen's place, it was nice to see her again. I missed seeing the two of them, it would be nice if we could get our entire high school group together again. I wish I could've contacted H, I know H wanted to go see Chuyen & Raelyn... Even Chuyen wanted to see H again. Well I took plenty of pictures to show H seeing as babies have a tendency to grow up too quickly.


It was Helen's 21st yesterday, it was good to see some of the high school crew again. Even though it was a sea themed party, not many people actually dressed up (with the exception of roughly 3 people). I was planning on coming as Ursula then decided not to do it since I couldn't do my hair up like her. Surprisingly Sara said she was thinking about coming as Ursula as well, great minds think alike perhaps.


I have to give credit to Helen's sign on the left. "Please dont congregate in the front". It certainly was a good idea putting that one up, but people still did it.


Since Susu requested more pictures, heres more! Tonight was Priya's 21st and it was awesome! Nothing like good food and good company... Did I mention good views too? Highlight of the evening was seeing Selin in a dress... For the past 3 years or so, I've only seen her in jeans. The most impressive part was seeing Priya doing her solo dance, I loved it.


I'm so sleepy. I don't think the effects of being on a boat for a few hours has quite worn off. I feel quite dizzy now. I think my senses have lagged quite considerably. I wish weekdays went by faster, weekends lasted longer and goodbyes only mean't until tomorrow. I'm still wondering if I should stick to the units I've enrolled in this semester... Census date is coming up soon and I'd really need to confirm it all. Headache, sigh.

I've spent my last few days indulging in too much charcoal chicken and an assortment of desserts. So much for going on a diet. I keep saying I'll start jogging, yet my new sneakers just keep collecting dust. Happiness is a never ending quest for many of us. Some never quite find it whilst some spend their entire lives searching for it. Happiness is intangible, you can't see it nor can you touch it. You can't see all things with plain sight, sometimes you have to look much deeper than that.  The most common mistake that people commit is the presumption that happiness is something which must constantly be pursued. Instead of aimlessly searching, we should create our own happiness. Sometimes you must brave the dark hour of reason before you can appreciate all that is before you.  Friends are the very foundation of my entity. Without foundation, I would not exist. This is me writing to give thanks to those who mean anything at all to me. Some of them won't see this at all, but that's fine by me. Thank you for your counsel, encouragement and simply being there.  P.S I have no idea who those guys are in the picture above, but they sure made this a very memorable pict

two sided coin

I can hear the rain slowly falling upon the roof and the trickle of rainwater down the roof gutter. I felt a burning sensation from the antiseptic explode around my grazed knee. I have learned an important lesson, do not cross the road whilst you are tremendously drowsy. Thankfully there were no cars on the road, I picked up my belongings and limped home. It was just a bad week for me. I've secured myself a job over the holiday and I rather look forward to it. I plan to enter the  Canon Photo5  competition, I just haven't had much inspiration the last few days. I don't anticipate on winning but it certainly seems appealing. The competition seems like a great way to challenge one's perception, to be creative, to take something ordinary and turn it into something extraordinary.  I tend to erupt in sheer contempt when someone taunts me, I've learned to conceal that now.
